Karlchen rocks with Something a La Mode!!!

Topshop: Wedge with an Edge

These super-duper hooves definitely give any outfit a lot of “edge”!
However, my fav Topshop is overdoin the price a little this time. They come for 100,00 € – 150,00 €.

…but now imagine these edgy shoes with the asian mistress-blazer!!! Yeeeeha!

Chucks to die 4!!! Converse with Snake-Skin

To call these fabulous would still underestimate how fabulous they are!!!
I´d even say, these are the best chucks ever!

converse-snake

First seen, when Morgan, one of my dear colleagues at Jill Stuart wore them. She bought those in a vintage-store in NYC.
After several hours of internet research I found out they were produced for Converse Japan and cost about 380 bucks… that´s definitely a total rip-off…
but OMG, those are sooooo fabulous!!!!!! Love love love em…….

Fashion-Intern-Slavery. Day 2:

IMG_0820

Fashion-Intern-Slavery: Day 1:

IMG_0816

Bebe: This rocks!!!

Just to demonstrate that they could do better: The Asian-Mistress-Blazer.
This fitted blazer with leather looking sleeve panel, shoulders that are slightly exaggerated for a sharper line and a closing crook that has a Asian inspired look, definitely rocks!

I wore it on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week and what could rock more than a Asian Mistress!?! ;)

Bebe: “Rockin' the festival fashion!”

Currently Bebe is running an campaign with the Kardashians. They call it style beats and the ad says: “From the coolest music to the hottest styles, get dressed to rock the look.”
As my blog is called rock-a-blog I thought I have to take a look at that.
I wish I hadn´t, cause it´s really shockingly boooooring!!! None of the cloth are slightly rockin´!bebe

However, the most surprising thing about this shitty campaign is, that the cloth are from Bebe. And normally they do have some fancy and stuff. A lot with leather, studs and all those things that would def go as stylish and rockin´!
Sad sad sad… well, maybe next time! Guess Bebe should have asked ACDC for some advice (not the Kardashians)! ;)

Interviews… entrance to the slavery-zone

The interview at Rodarte was… interesting… I´d say. They were really nice, but I could feel there was no “chemistry” (even though then, and still, I am not sure if a to-be-intern is supposed to look for any chemistry at all ^^).

The talk to the people from the showroom and PR-firm NEXT was great. Lovely people and a really inviting climate.

To get to talk to the guy you were supposed to call in order to talk about the position at Versace was close to impossible.
One week after the first respond, several calls, plenty of mails and two visits later I had an interview with Mr.W. (that´s just what I call him, however, I think everyone should do so, it really suits this amiable, chubby and slightly abstracted man). The talk opend the doors… to unexpected limited possibilities. In this case it´s was all about the name (yeah have to admit it´s quite a good one ^^)

To walk into the “most” important building on the Fashion Ave. it self was niiice. Every fashion name of distinction could be read on the elvator signs. Yep yep, gave me the feeling of: the place to be!
An luckily the interview at Jill Stuart also went really good. I have a strongly positive impression of the girl I talked to over there.

Last but nor least, I got an invitation to come to an interview at Marchesa. One of my very fav labels. I adore their designs and I find them deeply inspirational!
The more devastating the out-come of the interview. Basically they weren´t really looking for an intern, but an unpaid dog walker! Impudent!
I mean really!? That is sooo out of line. Interns have to do crappy stuff anyway, but you should really PAY for your private (dog) shit!!!

Heavy is the head that wears the crown

… after a period of drought (and after “managerizing” my resume) I received one respond after another. Yeeeeha!

Considering the fact that I applied for a unpaid intern position I shouldn´t have been nervous at all. Reality looked different- I was extremely nervous! Well, I have a simple reason to explain that. It was not due to the “small” position I wanted, but to the fact that it was a “big” company that was offering it! RODARTE!

The following week the BIG names did not find an end:
Versace, Jill Stuart, Marchesa, Next(PR)…
hahaha

And what do the rich dream of?

Losing weight and looking like the poor."
